Today, we're going to take a look at the Vision X XPL LED off road light bar. This is going to be a weather proof, 1120 lumen spot beam, 6 inch long light bar. Now, this is going to be a great addition to your off road vehicle, if that's an ATV, UTV, whatever you might have, especially something that's going to need a nice low profile, smaller light.This is going to give us a great long distance beam. Since it has those 10 degree spot beams, it's going to provide a really nice, bright focused light, that will be able to see up to 486 feet away. So, it's going to give us a very bright, very focused light and that's going to be especially nice, if we're driving out on the trails and we need to see where we're going.This is also going to feature a high performance Cree LEDs for those lights and it also has a day time running halo around those lights, so it's going to increase the visibility during the day, but it also remains SAE compliant for our day time running light. Now, those Cree LEDs are going to have a diffusing lens and reflector system, to give us optimal light distribution.

And those modulated diffusers are going to remove any hot spots or glare from the lighting elements themselves.We'll have our wiring connection here at the back. This is going to be a proprietary wiring system from Vision X. So, we have our one end that's going to connect into our housing here. The nice thing about this, is that it makes a weather tight connection. We'll have a little orange grommet there, that's going to provide the seal in our light housing and then, as you can see, it's going to plug directly into our light bar.

Snaps into place, gives a good secure hold and then, we'll also have a small wiring connection to make right there. That's going to give us the positive connection for that LED halo going around our light.And then, in our wiring housing, we'll have a solenoid and also a fuse to protect our wiring, so we don't have to worry about any shorts, anything transferring from our lights to our battery or anything like that, it's going to be doubly protected in that department there. So, we'll connect our two positives together and I'm going to wire this up, so you can get an idea of what it's going to look like. We'll make our two positive connections, the red ring terminal is going to be the positive for our light and again, that little yellow wire will be the positive for our running light. The black ring terminal is going to be our ground.So, we switch our power on.

You'll see our halo comes on, provides us our running light circuit and then well have our switch to actually activate the light itself. So, that's going to be handy that we can operate that right from inside our vehicle, provides an easy way to turn on that light. Now, as you can see, it's going to be very bright. It's a small light but very powerful. I'm going to turn off the lights off in the studio here, so you can get a better idea of just how bright it's going to be.

You can see that nice focused spot beam, it gives us that bright white light and it's going to travel really far, so we can see where we're going. Turn our power off here.Something else I like about the housing itself, on our light, is that it's going to have a very durable water resistant construction. This is going to be made of a die cast aluminum housing, with a nice black powder coat finish. So, it's going to be a light weight and very durable, very stable, but it's also going to be rust proof. So, we don't have to worry about this getting rusty over time, starting to not look so good, it's not going to corrode at all. And then, we'll have an impact resistant polycarbonate lens, with also a scratch resistant coating there. So, this is going to stay looking nice for a long time.We'll also have a couple options, when it comes to mounting. We can use the brackets that go on the side, these are just going to have a little rubber grommet that goes over that side mounting position and then these small Philips head bolts are going to thread in there. All the bolts that come with this kit are going to have some blue lock tight. That's just going to help to make sure that those bolts can't loosen up over time and then you can put that other little L bracket on the other side, with the grommet and washer. You can also flip these outward as well, if you prefer to mount them that way or if that makes it easier for them to get mounted up.Our other option for mounting, is going to be using the underneath brackets or the brackets that mount to the back of the light. So, in the back of our fins, there's also going to be this little channel here. So, this allows you to attach the other bracket hardware, we'll have our bolt, a rubber washer, the bracket itself and then another flat washer and a lock nut. That bracket is going to be curved to match with the contour of the light and that little rubber washer, just kind of helps to hold that in place and keep it from moving around. So, you'd slide that in place and then that gives you a nice curved mounting position. It hides the bracket a little bit more and then, you can adjust it along that bracket for the proper height or angle that you need.Those brackets both come the kit, so you'll have both options available to you, when you get this out of the box. Something nice there, you don't have to pick up an extra kit to have those options. And then again, we'll have our wiring harness that comes with the kit. We'll also have an extra connection, so if we want to wire up an additional light with the same wire housing, we can use this portion to splice into our power and ground here and then have an additional light. Again, running into that same housing, so we don't have to have two switches, we can just run it all off of this switch. Or, if this we're to ever become damaged, maybe the wires got severed somewhere along the way, you will have an extra.We'll also get this additional hardware to mount our bracket to vehicle, a nice sticker from Vision X, everybody likes stickers. As far as our light housing, just the light itself, is going to be about 5 and 3/4 inches long by about 2 and 1/2 inches deep and it'll be about 2 inches tall. And that's going to do it for our look at the Vision X XPL LED light bar that measures 6 inches in total.
